# Agent

> Ask questions, investigate your data, and approve Agent actions.

Open [**Agent**](https://dash.nectarclimate.com/agent) to ask questions, investigate entities, and run approved actions for the selected company. Choose a company in the sidebar before you start — Agent runs in that company's context.

Agent is in beta. Responses may be incomplete or incorrect — verify important outputs before you act on them.

## What you can ask

Ask about using the platform, investigate issues, or analyze usage, charges, accounts, sites, connections, meters, and bills. Agent also answers how-to questions from the Nectar knowledge base at [nectarclimate.com/docs](https://nectarclimate.com/docs).

After you approve, Agent can create or edit sites, usage data, account settings, charge line items, and meters; merge or clone meters; reassign an account; create or update a custom analytics dashboard; change site usage-estimation settings; manage waste types, streams, and routing; create custom site variables and values; dismiss or suppress bill issues; and resolve data quality anomalies or savings opportunities. Sharing or publishing a dashboard stays in the platform UI.

Agent cannot see the screen you have open. It cannot rebuild the links between charge line items and usage rows. It cannot open or edit saved Budgeting scenarios. For other writes — for example creating accounts, managing users, or running scrapes, imports, or exports — use the platform UI or email [support@nectarclimate.com](mailto:support@nectarclimate.com).

## Start a conversation

Use **New conversation** in the left rail, type in the composer, or click a starter prompt. If your company has no custom starters, Agent offers prompts to review your company's setup, what kinds of data questions and fixes it can help with, and how to get started with sites and utility data.

## Attach files

Attach PDF, CSV, or Excel files (up to 25 MB each). Agent can read those attachments. Remove any failed or unsupported file before you send.

## Review and approve actions

When Agent proposes a write, a **Proposed change** card appears. Review it, then click **Approve** to apply or **Reject** to decline (optional reason). Nothing is written until you approve.

## Manage conversations

Search conversations in the left rail. Rename, pin, or archive conversations you own. Show or hide archived conversations from the list.

## Share a conversation

Share a conversation with your company or keep it private. Peers who open a shared conversation see it read-only — they cannot send messages, approve actions, or stop a run.

## Weekly usage limit

Your organization has a weekly Agent usage limit. When the limit is reached, new messages are blocked until the reset date shown in the workspace.

## Investigate from Data Quality

On a savings opportunity (and on some data quality issues), click **Investigate with agent** to open Agent with that finding already in context.

  <Accordion title="Where do how-to answers come from?">
Product and how-to questions are answered from the public knowledge base at [nectarclimate.com/docs](https://nectarclimate.com/docs). Keep that documentation accurate so Agent stays accurate.
