Open [**Data Quality > Savings**](https://dash.nectarclimate.com/data-quality/savings) to investigate bill patterns that may represent estimated cost-saving potential. Use **Overview** for totals and **Opportunities** for the triage inbox. Dollar amounts are estimated potential, not realized savings. A single bill or account can be flagged by more than one trigger; **Total savings** counts each finding once at its largest amount so overlapping findings are not double-counted. ## Overview [**Data Quality > Savings > Overview**](https://dash.nectarclimate.com/data-quality/savings/overview) shows **Money at risk** (open estimated-read exposure), **Immediate savings** (quantified savings ready to capture), **Potential savings** (unrealized savings from portfolio improvements), **Total savings**, plus **Open opportunities**, **Bills analyzed**, **Accounts analyzed**, and **Savings per month**. Cards that have a count link through to Opportunities with matching filters. Overview also lists **Recommended to investigate** — high-priority open opportunities with estimated amount and due date. Click a row to open it in Opportunities. ## Opportunities inbox [**Data Quality > Savings > Opportunities**](https://dash.nectarclimate.com/data-quality/savings) is a split inbox. The list defaults to **Open**, sorted by **Highest savings**. Filter by status, severity, trigger, category (**Bill validation** or **Rate optimization**), savings kind, account, or utility provider. You can also sort by bill created (newest), bill date (newest), or due date (soonest). Select a row to review evidence. Statuses in the inbox: | Status | Meaning | | ---------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------- | | **Open** | Still needs a decision | | **Holding for payment and rebill** | You held the finding while waiting on payment or a rebill | | **Released for payment** | You released the finding for payment | ## Trigger types Savings detection can flag these trigger types (names as shown in the inbox): | Trigger | What it flags | | -------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Repeated estimated reads** | A new estimated meter read after enough recent estimated bills on that meter (medium or high threshold). | | **Estimated high usage** | An estimated read whose weather-normalized usage is higher than expected. | | **Sustained zero usage** | Explicit zero usage on an electric or gas meter that is still being charged, after a streak (gas May–September zeros are skipped). | | **Unusually high billed demand** | Billed demand that looks unusually high (ratchet/contract floor or measured demand well above interval peak). | | **Late payment interest** | Interest charged on the bill. | | **Sales tax exemption** | Explicit sales-tax charges on a bill. Off by default — enable it in settings if your company is sales-tax exempt. | | **Tariff switch** | Possible savings from a rate switch using interval load. | | **Low power factor** | Consistently low power factor across recent bills; estimates demand savings if PF were raised to 0.95. | | **Demand ratchet** | A prior-period demand ratchet keeps billed demand above measured load; estimates savings if that floor were reduced. Requires high-quality interval data. | ## Resolve an opportunity On an open opportunity, choose a resolution: * **Draft email to utility** — Nectar handles delivery; the option is hidden after send * **Hold for payment and rebill** * **Release for payment** Rate-optimization findings (tariff switch, low power factor, demand ratchet) skip the generic estimated-read email except tariff switch, which asks the utility to switch the account. If Agent is available for your company, click **Investigate with agent** on an opportunity to open [**Agent**](https://dash.nectarclimate.com/agent) with that finding in context. ## Download a report Use **Download report** on Overview or Opportunities to export the current savings results. ## Configure detection Company admins configure detection in [**Settings > Company > Data Quality > Savings**](https://dash.nectarclimate.com/settings/company/data-quality/savings). Enable or disable each trigger for the company. Disabling a trigger stops new findings of that type; existing open opportunities stay until you resolve them. ## Savings report emails On the same settings page, **Savings report subscription** emails a digest of new and outstanding opportunities. Set frequency to **Off**, **Daily**, or **Weekly**. Opening the routes without access redirects to [**Data Quality > Issues**](https://dash.nectarclimate.com/data-quality/issues). If you expect Savings and do not see it, email [support@nectarclimate.com](mailto:support@nectarclimate.com). No. Amounts are estimated potential. Total savings de-duplicates overlapping findings so the same dollars are not counted twice. No. Savings **Late payment interest** is a savings opportunity. Anomaly late-fee detection is a separate Data Quality finding in the Issues inbox.
