Open Agent to ask questions, investigate entities, and run approved actions for the selected company. Choose a company in the sidebar before you start — Agent runs in that company’s context.

What you can ask

Ask about using the platform, investigate issues, or analyze usage, charges, accounts, sites, connections, meters, and bills. Agent also answers how-to questions from the Nectar knowledge base at nectarclimate.com/docs. After you approve, Agent can create or edit sites, usage data (including time-of-use breakdowns), account settings, charge line items, and meters; create upload accounts (accounts without a utility connection), leaving the account number blank when the bill has none; assign meter tags, and create new tags if you are a company admin; merge or clone meters; reassign an account, or several unrelated accounts in one reviewed batch; attach or detach supporting documents on bills; create or update a custom analytics dashboard; change site usage-estimation settings; manage waste types, streams, and routing; create custom site variables and values; dismiss or suppress bill issues; resolve data quality anomalies or savings opportunities; and create, change, pause, or delete scheduled tasks. Sharing or publishing a dashboard stays in the platform UI. If you are a company admin, Agent can also change company settings (name, external ID, data collection start, fiscal year start, display units, and the occupancy adjustment, line item usage, anomaly detection, and cost tracking toggles), add or invite a member with a role and site access, revoke pending invitations, tune an anomaly detector’s settings, and, where Savings is available, tune savings detectors and the savings report email. These follow the same rules as Settings > Company and Settings > Company > Members. When Bill Pay is on for your company, Agent can tell you where a bill is in the pay cycle. It cannot approve, cancel, or route payments. Agent cannot see the screen you have open. It cannot rebuild the links between charge line items and usage rows. It cannot open or edit saved Budgeting scenarios. For other writes — for example creating accounts on a utility connection, changing or removing an existing member’s access, or running scrapes, imports, or exports — use the platform UI or email support@nectarclimate.com.

Start a conversation

Use New conversation in the left rail, type in the composer, or click a starter prompt. If your company has no custom starters, Agent offers prompts to review your company’s setup, what kinds of data questions and fixes it can help with, and how to get started with sites and utility data.

Attach files

Attach PDF, CSV, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Markdown, or plain text files (up to 50 MB each), or PNG, JPEG, WebP, or GIF images such as chart screenshots (up to 10 MB each). Agent can read those attachments. It can attach PDF, CSV, or Excel files to bills after you approve. Remove any failed or unsupported file before you send.

Review and approve actions

When Agent proposes a write, a Proposed change card appears. The card lists only the fields and rows that would actually change; values that stay the same are left off. Review it, then click Approve to apply or Reject to decline (optional reason). Nothing is written until you approve. If the data already matches by the time you approve, nothing is rewritten.

Manage conversations

Search conversations in the left rail. Rename, pin, or archive conversations you own. Show or hide archived conversations from the list. A conversation older than 7 days shows a note that it is using an older version of Buzz and may not perform as well. Start a New conversation to get the latest improvements. You can keep sending messages in the older conversation.

Share a conversation

Share a conversation with your company or keep it private. Peers who open a shared conversation see it read-only — they cannot send messages, approve actions, or stop a run.

Scheduled agent prompts

Save a prompt as a scheduled task to run it weekly or monthly. Each run starts a new conversation as you, and any change it proposes waits for your approval.

Weekly usage limit

Your organization has a weekly Agent usage limit. When the limit is reached, new messages are blocked until the reset date shown in the workspace. Scheduled agent prompts count toward the same limit.

Investigate from Data Quality

On a savings opportunity (and on some data quality issues), click Investigate with agent to open Agent with that finding already in context.

FAQ

You need edit access on the company, and Agent must be available for that company. View-only members do not see Agent in the sidebar. Opening Agent without access redirects to Home.
No. Writes appear as a Proposed change card. Nothing is applied until you click Approve.
Buzz is the name of the assistant. After 7 days, the conversation warns that it is using an older version and suggests starting a new one.
Product and how-to questions are answered from the public knowledge base at nectarclimate.com/docs. Keep that documentation accurate so Agent stays accurate.
