Overview

A scheduled task is recurring work you set up once and Nectar runs on a schedule. Open Settings > Personal > Scheduled tasks to manage tasks for the company you are viewing. The page lists Your tasks (personal digests and agent prompts that only you can see), Company tasks (Watershed syncs, shown to company admins only), and a Run history of every run, including skipped and failed ones. Times are shown in your timezone.

Task types

Weekly tasks run on the weekday you choose, and monthly tasks run on the 1st. You choose the hour for every task.

Digest

A digest emails you the topics that meet your thresholds for the current company: Connections, Issues, Anomalies, Savings, and Completeness (Anomalies and Savings appear when those features are enabled). Turn topics on or off and adjust each topic’s threshold. If nothing qualifies, no email is sent. The digest covers the sites in your notification scope and does not replace immediate notification emails. You can have one digest per company. Digests are not available on white-label workspaces.

Agent prompt

An agent prompt runs a saved prompt with Agent, as you, on a schedule — for example, a weekly review of new bill issues.
  • Each run starts a new conversation, so write a prompt that includes everything Agent needs (sites, time window, and the output you want).
  • Any change a run proposes waits for your approval. While a run is waiting, the next run is skipped.
  • Runs count toward your organization’s weekly Agent usage limit.
  • You can have up to 10 agent prompt tasks.

Watershed sync

A Watershed sync pushes data to a Watershed measurement project on a schedule. Each sync works like a manual push: it sends all of the company’s data and replaces the earlier Nectar uploads in that project. See Watershed — What a push sends. Only company admins can see, create, and edit Watershed syncs. Watershed must be connected through the API. A company can have several syncs, but only one per measurement project, and each sync needs a name.

Create and manage tasks

1

Open Scheduled tasks

Go to Settings > Personal > Scheduled tasks and click New task.
2

Choose a type and schedule

Pick the type, then choose how often and when it runs.
3

Add the details

Choose digest topics, write the agent prompt, or select the Watershed measurement project.
4

Save

Click Create task. The task appears with its next run time.
Click a task to edit it. Open its actions menu, or right-click the row, to Edit, Run now, Pause or Resume, or Delete it. Run now starts an extra run without changing the schedule. Deleting a task stops future runs and removes its run history; data already sent to Watershed stays there. You can also ask Agent to create, change, pause, or delete a scheduled task. It proposes the change for you to approve.

Run history

Run history lists every run with its status and result, such as the digest topics sent, a link to the agent conversation, or the Watershed records synced. Filter by task, type, or status. Runs started with Run now are marked as triggered by a manual run. A run is skipped, with the reason shown, when it can’t run — for example, a digest has nothing to send, a previous run hasn’t finished, or the Watershed project no longer accepts data. Nectar never pauses a task on its own. When a task needs you to fix something, its row shows Needs attention.

Frequently asked questions

The email digest moved from Notifications to Scheduled tasks. Your existing digest carried over with its schedule and topics.
Only you can see your digests and agent prompts. Only company admins can see and change Watershed syncs and their runs. If an admin edits a sync someone else set up, that admin becomes its owner.
Only the types you can create are offered. For example, you may already have a digest for this company, have reached the agent prompt limit, not have access to Agent, or not be a company admin. Watershed syncs also require Watershed to be connected through the API. An existing sync doesn’t block a new one for a different measurement project.
