How to connect SP Group, Singapore accounts to Nectar using email MFA forwarding.

Connection method: Email MFA forwarding

SP Group, Singapore uses email-based verification code from a new device. Since Nectar logs in from its own servers, MFA verification is typically triggered.
Best option: Disable MFA if your organization allows it. SP Group, Singapore’s portal may allow you to disable additional verification in your account security settings. If you can turn off MFA, Nectar can connect without any forwarding setup.

Setup with email forwarding

If MFA cannot be disabled, set up email forwarding so Nectar receives the verification codes:
1

Start a new connection or reconnect

From Data Input > Connections, click New connection and select SP Group, Singapore, or click Reconnect on an existing connection showing MFA Token Expired.
2

Enter your credentials

Provide your SP Group, Singapore username and password — the same credentials you use at the SP Group, Singapore customer portal.
3

Confirm the connection

Nectar verifies the credentials and begins collection. The CAPTCHA is handled automatically.
4

Choose MFA forwarding type

  • Managed forwarding: Nectar provides a unique email address (for example, mfa-your-company@nectarclimate.com). Update your SP Group, Singapore account’s email address to this Nectar-provided address so codes are sent directly to us.
  • Customer-inbox forwarding (recommended): Keep your existing email on SP Group, Singapore, and set up an auto-forwarding rule in your email to forward SP Group, Singapore verification emails to the Nectar-provided address (for example, nectar-forward-to-your-company@nectarclimate.com).
This strategy might fail on corporate emails. Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace can block external auto-forwarding through tenant-wide policies. If forwarding is silently disabled, the connection returns to MFA Token Expired. If you’re on a managed work email and customer-inbox forwarding fails, try managed forwarding or uploading bills.

Update your SP Group, Singapore account or Set Up Customer-inbox Forwarding

  • For managed forwarding: Log in to the SP Group, Singapore customer portal > My Profile > Contact Information > update the email address to the Nectar-provided address (for example, mfa-your-company@nectarclimate.com).
  • For customer-inbox forwarding: Create a forwarding rule in your email client that forwards messages from SP Group, Singapore to the Nectar-provided forwarding address (for example, mfa-your-company@nectarclimate.com).
    • Set up email forwarding in your inbox
    • In the mailbox that receives SP Group, Singapore verification codes, create a forwarding rule that sends messages from SP Group, Singapore to the Nectar address from Step 2.
      • Sender / from: the SP Group, Singapore sender addresses your account uses
      • Forward to: the Nectar address from Step 2
      • Keep a copy in the original inbox if you still want to see the codes
