SiEnergy LP Data Access Guide

SiEnergy LP is one of Texas's fastest-growing natural gas distribution utilities, serving roughly 70,000 residential and commercial customers across the Houston, Dallas, and Austin metro areas. Acquired by Northwest Natural Holdings in January 2025, SiEnergy provides billing access through a Paymentus-powered portal but offers no Green Button, public API, interval data, or formal EDI program — third-party access runs through manual written-authorization requests.

Historical bills are available for at least 3 years in the portal; older bills can be requested through customer service. Third-party access requires written customer authorization and a manual request.

Interval Data & Smart Meters

Interval data is not available from SiEnergy. Tariff filings with the Texas Railroad Commission indicate monthly/periodic meter reading for billing; no AMI interval transmission, Green Button, API, or aggregator channel exists. Monthly consumption on bills is the standard level of detail.

Third-Party API Access

SiEnergy offers no public API, developer portal, ESPI implementation, Share My Data program, or formal aggregator partnerships of its own. Its CIS vendor is not publicly disclosed. Nectar provides API access to this utility's billing and interval data — see docs.nectarclimate.com. Third parties can also operate through manual written-authorization requests to customer service or customer-led PDF sharing. The January 2025 acquisition by Northwest Natural Holdings may bring future data-program enhancements.

05

EDI (Electronic Data Interchange)

There is no publicly documented EDI trading partner program for SiEnergy customers or third parties. Texas gas utilities file tariffs electronically per the Railroad Commission's EDI manual (16 Tex. Admin. Code § 7.315), but that is a regulatory filing requirement, not a customer-facing data channel. Parties needing EDI (e.g., 814, 820, 867, 810) should inquire with Business Development at businessdevelopment@sienergy.com with their D-U-N-S number and required transaction sets.

How to Enroll in SiEnergy LP EDI

  1. 01Identify the EDI transaction types needed (814, 820, 867, 810)
  2. 02Contact SiEnergy Business Development at businessdevelopment@sienergy.com or (888) 468-7007 Option 4
  3. 03Request EDI specifications and enrollment procedures, including VAN vs. direct connectivity
  4. 04Submit company name, D-U-N-S number, required transaction sets, and customer authorization documentation
  5. 05If a program exists, complete the trading partner agreement and testing before production

06

Rate Schedules & Tariff Analysis

SiEnergy's rates are governed by tariffs filed with the Texas Railroad Commission under Operator Number 0048 (gas distribution service GSD-1), with separate filings for unincorporated areas and municipalities. Statements of intent for rate changes and the Customer Bill of Rights are published on SiEnergy's regulatory links page.

Limitations & Considerations

  • No interval/smart-meter data — monthly meter reads only per Texas RRC tariff
  • No Green Button Download My Data or Connect My Data (no ESPI/OAuth endpoint)
  • No public API for billing or usage data and no developer portal
  • No formal EDI trading partner program — inquiry to Business Development required
  • No Share My Data portal or formal aggregator partnerships
  • Manual third-party requests return PDF statements (not raw data) in 5-10 business days
  • Post-acquisition integration with NW Natural may change capabilities — monitor for updates

SiEnergy LP Data Access FAQ

How do commercial customers access SiEnergy billing data?

Register at https://sienergy.epayub.com/ with your account number to view and download PDF bills, payment history, and monthly usage. The portal retains at least 3 years of bills; older statements require a customer service request at (888) 468-7007 Option 3.

Does SiEnergy provide interval gas data or Green Button?

No. Meters are read monthly per SiEnergy's Texas Railroad Commission tariff, and there is no 15-minute, 30-minute, or hourly data channel, no Green Button DMD/CMD, and no API. Monthly consumption on bills is the finest granularity available.

How can an energy consultant get a client's SiEnergy data?

Obtain the customer's signed written authorization, then submit a formal request to Customer Service at (888) 468-7007 Option 3 with the account number, authorization proof, your company details, and the data types and date range. Expect PDF statements within 5-10 business days. For ongoing access, have the customer download portal data on a recurring schedule.

Does SiEnergy support EDI transactions?

No public EDI trading partner program exists. SiEnergy files tariffs electronically with the Texas RRC per regulatory requirements, but that is not customer-facing EDI. If your operation needs 814/820/867/810 transactions, email businessdevelopment@sienergy.com with your D-U-N-S number and transaction requirements to inquire.

Will the NW Natural acquisition change SiEnergy data access?

Possibly. Northwest Natural Holdings acquired SiEnergy on January 7, 2025, and parent NW Natural offers a more capable portal (3+ years of bill history with PDF downloads). Platform consolidation could bring enhanced portal features or standardized third-party procedures, but nothing is documented yet — monitor sienergy.com for updates.

Where are SiEnergy's rates and tariffs published?

Tariffs are filed with the Texas Railroad Commission under Operator Number 0048 (gas distribution service GSD-1), accessible at rrc.texas.gov/gas-services/natural-gas-tariffs-rate-schedules. SiEnergy also posts rate schedules for environs and municipalities, statements of intent, and the Customer Bill of Rights at sienergy.com/regulatory-and-important-links.
