AI Agent and Smart Reports
Nectar is an AI-native company. Ask questions about your utility data in your own words, with every answer citing its source bills, and schedule recurring reports that arrive by email or webhook. Dashboards cover cost, usage, and demand analytics, weather-normalized comparisons, and benchmarking.

Questions about utility spend are usually answerable from the bills, and they still take an analyst a day because the figures live in portals, PDFs, and a workbook that was rebuilt last month. Nectar keeps the parsed bills, the line items, and the account history in one place, and the AI agent answers from that record.
You ask in your own words: which sites had the largest cost increase, where demand charges rose, which accounts are missing a bill. Every number in the answer cites the line items and the bills it came from, so it can be checked before anyone relies on it. Recurring reports run on a schedule and deliver by email or webhook.
Challenge
Simple questions about utility spend take an analyst a day.
Solution
Ask the AI agent which sites had the biggest cost increase, where demand charges rose, or which accounts are missing bills, and get an answer with citations to the source bills.
Challenge
Recurring reports are rebuilt by hand every month.
Solution
Smart Reports run on a schedule and deliver to email or webhook, with exports to PDF, XLSX, Google Slides, and Word for leadership and board reporting.
Challenge
AI answers are hard to trust without the underlying data.
Solution
Every number links back to the line items and bills it came from, so answers can be checked before they are relied on.
Answers with the bill attached
The agent uses the validated data for the accounts you can access. A cost increase is traced to usage, demand, rate, or a one-time charge, and the citation opens the source bill. An answer that cannot be tied to a line item is not presented as a figure.
The same questions are the ones teams already ask an analyst before a monthly review. Asking them in the platform does not create a separate data set, and it does not replace the audit trail on the underlying bills.
Reports that go out without being rebuilt
Smart Reports run on a schedule to email or webhook. Exports are PDF, XLSX, Google Slides, and Word, for the leadership pack that still has to leave the platform. The report uses the same coding and the same time range as the dashboards.
Dashboards cover cost, usage, and demand, weather-normalized comparisons, and benchmarking. A chart and an agent answer for the same month read from the same bills, so the number in the email matches the number on the screen. Recipients can open the cited bill from the answer when they need the line items, without asking an analyst to pull the PDF again.

Carbon accounting requires accurate utility data collection
Carbon accounting has 3 steps: data collection, emissions calculation, and data reporting. Error rates of 10% in data collection compound into worse error in the CDP report. Garbage in, garbage out.
